Qualcast Suffolk Punch 43s

Can anyone help I would like to get hold of a copy of the manual I need to change the oil but do not know how you check the oil as the engine has no dipstick only A filler cap and a drain plug the model I have is the one with the petrol tank (Metal) half way down the handle.

When you say that the tank is "halfway down the handle", is it a slide on one with "claws" that grip the tubes?

Also what colour is the engine? An image would help.  As a general rule on engines without a dip stick you just fill to the top od the treads where the filler plug screws in

yes it is the slide on one with "claws" that grip the tubes.

The engine it is all green but not sure if it has been repainted at some time.

Just as wristpin says on mine which sounds the same as yours to top of threads when you unscrew plug. The engine I think you will find is black with red cover(the part where starter bolted to)
