I was unfortunately unable to attend the Shuttleworth meet in September for personal reasons And was feet sorry to miss this excellent show. I decided to hold a display of my own to illustrate the sorts of mowers I would have taken up to the show. I decided to take a few of my Ransomes mowers only to illustrate the huge diversity of early mowers made by this company. I do actually have boxes for most of the mowers but only added a few for this display because set up time would have taken too long. Enjoy the photos.

Hi Moorcroftman I am sure I have spares of the Anglia and Ajax but I won’t be sorting through any more stuff until the New Year. I might get a chance if I do a similar display of a few Greens only mowers in December were we to get a dry, cold and crisp day. I don’t know how much hurry you are in  but a quicker and easier solution may be to go on that large well known auction website and buy a basket case of each of those mowers for little money as long as they have a box however shoddy it is for restoration. A magnificent display, thank you for sharing. Interesting to see that the blades on the motor mower, although of a split pattern , are not handed for even grass “ throw”,  as illustrated  by several of the push mowers . Would seem to be an unnecessary complication and expense for no obvious advantage. I wonder whether any contemporary literature suggested a reason.
