Greens Zephyr with a difference
I was alerted to sale of this very unusual machine by another member. It is a Mk8 Greens Zephyr but with the official factory ladybird electric conversion. Asking around no one knew that Greens offered an electric ladybird conversion. It was normally understood that ladybird was fitted to other makes. It could well be one of very very few electric versions. Hope you enjoy the photos, this is the first time I've shared this mower / photos.

You have two very nice
You have two very nice Zephyrs there. Mine does work but like my JP Super Electric you have to use a 3 core extension lead as I found the standard two wire extension nearly blows the whole fuse box off the wall. I've got a feeling this type of lead will have to be used on these old electric mowers. Next job is to get it to cut properly now I know the electrics are all fine.

Your feeling is correct, but you will only know that it is safe to use if it is properly tested by a qualified electrician.
Two core leads can only only be used for double insulated portable appliances which were introduced in the 1950s. Anything that’s not double insulated must be used with a three core ( earthed) lead - preferably with a plug in RCD ( trip) as well. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.

The Zephyr is probably my single favourite mower, and I'm in the process of restoring an early one with pram handles and a 12 knife Zephr deluxe
